Downtown Aiken is Getting its Own Pinball Arcade
The CSRA is raking up on the gaming experience. While an arcade in Evans is on the rise, so is one in Downtown Aiken.
The games are rolling in and an opening date has been set for Radioactive Pinball Arcade in Downtown Aiken.
Eric and Erin Edwards, the owners of the new business, have announced the grand opening to be August 26th. It is located at 113 Laurens St., Ste 103.
Radioactive Pinball Arcade is a retro gaming experience for people of all ages.
You can expect games like Pac-Man and Donkey Kong to be in the building. Plus even more with 42 pinball machines and 30 arcade games.
Before opening this location, all of these systems were located around the owners house after they had started collecting so many. Now the games are all in in one public location for everybody to enjoy.
They are selling two-hour tickets to the grand opening.
After the opening, an hour of free play will cost $15 and an all-day pass will cost $20. They also plan to sell soft drinks and beer.

A gaming center is a place where people can come together to create a community, play games, and have tournaments. Esports and LAN gaming has been growing a lot. For example, colleges offer Esports scholarships, and some of those colleges even have gaming labs. High schools have implemented Esports as an elective. There are even pro teams that are created in the gaming world that compete for millions in cash prizes. In the US there are over 650 gaming centers, and the CSRA is a part of that growing number.
Fortnite, 2k, Mortal Combat, you name it – gaming developers are continuing to create new projects which will keep these game rooms around for a while. These gaming rooms consist of PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Virtual reality, retro games, and arcades.
