Georgia Couple Gets Engaged At Waffle House
A couple from Georgia recently got engaged at Waffle House. The video is going viral, and it is the most awesomely Southern thing you’ve ever seen! There are several things I love about this video. It happened in Georgia, it happened at Waffle House, and it’s two people who are so truly in love. Let me give you some background info.
Love In The Air At Waffle House
According to Yahoo News, this happened a few hours up the road in Carrolton, Georgia. The guy shooting the video is named John Cox, and he asked his girlfriend to marry him with a ring on a waffle. Again I say, this is the most awesomely Southern thing you’ll ever see, and I can’t love it more! The video has been viewed over 5 million times. If you haven’t seen it yet, here it is.
This really makes me wish that I would’ve done this for my wife! We were actually just talking yesterday about proposals and what not. She loved the way that I proposed. I did it in the living room of our first home together. I did it on Thanksgiving with both of our families there and she loved it. However, she said she wonders what it would’ve been like had I done more planning and done the proposal somewhere that wasn’t our house.
My wife likes Waffle House, but I don’t know is she loves it as much as I do. So I don’t know if this would’ve gone over as well with her. As far as this video goes, I think its awesome. Someone even commented that Waffle House should cater the wedding. I did try to make that happen at our wedding too, and my wife shut it down. Speaking of Waffle House, did you know these secrets?
Waffle House Secrets For Getting Orders Right Will Blow Your Mind!
Waffle House Secrets! There’s just something great about the smothered, covered, sliced, diced greasy spoon food that our friends there offer up 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
But have you ever wondered how Waffle House cooks get like, EVERYTHING right as waitresses are calling out order after order?
No matter what crazy things you seem to throw at them, the cooks just nail it.
We got the scoop, thanks, in part, to TikTok of course, and it’s pretty cool how they pull all these off. It’s all about the condiments and some ingredients.
“Yes, it’s really important, and while it’s a secret, like the Coca-Cola recipe, we hide it in plain sight,” said Waffle House Director of Public Relations, Njeri Boss, in a statement to Nexstar. “There really isn’t a better system than what we do. It’s fast. It’s quite easy to learn.”
Waffle House has of course been well known for being involved in secrets. Like the super-not-so-secret weather monitoring index that the Federal Emergency Management Agency – FEMA – uses to help determine where things are really bad. Waffle House’s don’t tend to shut down unless it’s REALLY bad, and/or they can’t get supplies in to keep operations up and going. That makes them the perfect metric for figuring out whether FEMA should have more resources in an area.
But what all happens behind the scenes with these Waffle House secrets to get your order right? Here’s the deal:
