5 Pro Tips For First Time Masters Patrons
It can be a little overwhelming thinking about the traffic and the parking as thousands of patrons enter the parking lots at the Masters. Also, finding your way around while you’re there, navigating the pro shop, concession stand food, etc. OK, calm down; here are some 5 pro tips for first-time Masters patrons.
Here are Your 5 Pro Tips For First Time Masters Patrons
1-Relax. They have this down to a science. Getting from I-20 to the Augusta National parking areas is easy. Traffic flows well, and everyone is in a great mood because many are checking this off their bucket list—Rule number one – Relax and enjoy the experience.
2- Pro Shop. There are long lines at the pro shop, but once again, they move quicker than you would think. I like to arrive early and get my hats and shirts and the popular Gnome before I get on the course. You can check your bag at the shop while spaces are available, or you can have your pro shop finds shipped to your house.
3- Concession Stands. You’ll find food throughout the course at numerous concession stands. Grabbing a pimento cheese or egg salad sandwich with a cold beer is quick and easy. You get in line, pick up your desired things, order your drink, and pay at the register. They also have high-top tables in some areas where you can enjoy your meal. Also, the food here is delicious. Plus, it’s very reasonable. A couple of pimento cheese sandwiches will cost you $3 plus tax at Augusta National.
4- The Golf Course. I usually start walking and enjoy the day. Finding a seat in the stands is easy if you arrive early. Many people stake out their area with Masters folding chairs. You’ll be ten deep if you’re following Tiger Woods or any famous golfers, but you can also find a good vantage point to take in the experience.
5- The walk. Augusta National is very hilly. You can’t tell as much on TV, but be prepared for a decent workout and wear comfortable shoes. Being on one of the prettiest pieces of land in the world helps because you see beauty everywhere you look, and they work hard to keep it that way during the tournament.
The Masters sandwiches we spoke about earlier? They are in green sandwich wrappers for a reason. If the wrapper finds itself on the course, it would be hard to see it on TV. Also, employees are walking the course looking for anything on the ground, and it’s picked up immediately.
Have fun and enjoy your time.
