Places To Go For Free Comic Book Day In Augusta
Free Comic Book Day falls on Saturday, May 4, and the name of the day is as simple as it gets. Comic book shops will be giving away free comics!
May 4 also happens to be National Star Wars Day – May the 4th be with you!
While this is a celebration across the globe, Augusta has some exciting events happening for the holiday.
Augusta Book Exchange aka ABX, Top Dog Comics, Dead Media Collectibles, and the Augusta Richmond County Public Library system will be hosting special events for Free Comic Book Day; let’s get into the details!
Augusta Book Exchange aka ABX – Comics and Games
There will be raffles every hour, free comics, and a comic book signing by graphic designer Michael Rushbrook, and Fiendish 2.5 creator Irene Strychalski! Michael is the cover and interior artist for Strychalski’s newest comic book.
Here are other creators that will also be at ABX on May 4: Lee Newman, Shelby Puckett, Travis Hollaway, Xavier Jones, BoperNine Conklin, Shua Smith, Josh Clark Goodman, Addison Potter, Joshua Larios, Shelice Toomer, Fox Si-Long Caceres, and David Bryant.
Top Dog Comics
Top Dog Comics is CSRA’s premier comic book, gaming, and sports card store! They will also be participating in Free Comic Book Day. They are located on Washington Road.
Dead Media Collectibles
They will be celebrating Star Wars Day and Comic Book Day!

Augusta-Richmond County Public Library SystemÂ
All six Richmond County libraries will be participating in Free Comic Book Day from 10 am – 4 pm. You will get the chance to pick up one comic book. These comic books were donated by ABX – Comics and Games.
