Maren Morris shares her ‘cattle call’ experience with American Idol, A mural of Jason Aldean is going viral for the wrong reasons, and Tim McGraw celebrates 45 number one hits
It’s hard to believe that some of the biggest stars were once rejected from singing competition shows like American Idol.
Maren Morris is one of several country stars who’ve been rejected by “American Idol”, and probably did better because of it. She recently posted her audition ticket from August 6th, 2007.
Here’s what she wrote in the caption: “My mom found my ‘Idol’ audition ticket. I didn’t make it past the first round cattle call . . . I wasn’t really into sports growing up, but this feels like the equivalent of your mom saving your 10th place trophy.”
She knew back then that “Idol” made a mistake. Somebody in the comments asked about her audition song, and she wrote, “‘Sweet Thing’ by Chaka Khan, and I slayed.”
A mural of ‘Macon Greatest’ is making its rounds on the internet for its really bad portrait of Jason Aldean.
The mural is painted on the side of a Dollar General store in Aldean’s hometown of Macon, Georgia. It also includes a painting of Otis Redding. Check out the pics here
Congratulations to Tim McGraw who celebrates his 45th number one single with ‘7500 OBO’. Tim posted on Instagram that ‘New music is coming soon! Buckle in’
