WATCH: Ryan Reynolds Brings Beloved 80’s Icon Out Of Retirement
Minus a few television cameos and voicing a character in Disney’s Brother Bear movies, it has been 23 years since actor Rick Moranis had a major on-screen role. Now, thanks to Ryan Reynolds, Wayne Szalinski is back in the spotlight.
In a new ad for Mint Mobile‘s new unlimited plan, Reynolds introduces Moranis as, “something else we’ve all gone too long without,” referencing Rick’s two-decade break from acting since 1997’s Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves.
Moranis asks Reynolds, “Why am I here?” To which Reynolds admits that it isn’t to promote Mint Mobile; he’s just a big fan.
