Amy Grant, the wife of Country Music Hall of Famer Vince Gill, was involved in a bicycle accident yesterday afternoon (7/27) and was transported to a hospital.

Nashville TV station WKRN reported that when she fell, Grant was riding a bike with a friend near the golf course off Old Hickory Boulevard. They report that she was wearing a helmet. The accident happened around 3 p.m. CT near the Harpeth Hills Golf Course.

She was taken by ambulance to Vanderbilt Medical Center, where she was treated in the emergency room for cuts and abrasions. She is stable but was admitted as a precaution.

Amy has been named one of the Kennedy Center’s five honorees for 2022. Grant is part of the 45th class of honorees, including actor George Clooney, singer Gladys Knight, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Tania León, and the rock band U2.

The honorees will be saluted in a celebrity-filled gala at the center’s Opera House on December 4. It will be broadcast at a later date on CBS.
