Morgan Wallen was playing a show at Kentucky’s Yum! Center In Louisville last week (4/13) when he sang one of the last songs in his set, “Heartless,” and took a nasty tumble on stage. Gossip site TMZ got a video of the incident, and the stage is quite smoky as Morgan walks, unable to see much near his feet, sings, and then falls.
Wallen did bounce right back up after the fall and didn’t even miss a note in the song.
This week, he continues his world tour with shows in Mississippi, Michigan, and Illinois. He will head to Canada for shows in August and September.
Morgan will join HARDY, Lainey Wilson, ERNEST, and Bailey Zimmerman in taking the stage on the Topgolf green to raise money, and awareness for ACM Lifting Lives in Texas on Wednesday, May 10, at Topgolf The Colony. The event will occur one day before the 58th ACM Awards on May 11. The ACM Awards will air live on Amazon Prime from Frisco, Texas.
Wallen said in a statement, “ACM Lifting Lives does great work providing aid in times of need to folks inside and outside of the music industry. My band and I are excited to help them raise funds to continue doing this amazing work.”
ACM Lifting Lives Executive Director Lyndsay Cruz said, “The support of Country Music artists and the industry as a whole are who make the impactful work of ACM Lifting Lives possible. We are so thankful to Morgan, HARDY, Lainey, ERNEST, Bailey, and DJ 13lackbeard for volunteering their time to help us raise money and awareness, and we know music fans in Texas will be blown away by this all-star lineup!”
In addition to distributing more than $4 million to date through its Covid Relief Fund, ACM Lifting Lives provides critical support through the Diane Holcomb Emergency Relief Fund, significant annual commitments to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, Music Health Alliance, and the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, and individual grants to organizations that reach communities all across America.
