A New Downtown Augusta Country Bar Is Coming Soon
A new Downtown Augusta country bar is set to open soon! This is something that we’ve been missing here in the CSRA for quite a while. Ever since Coyote’s and The Country Club shut down a few years ago, country fans haven’t really had a spot they could call their own. All of that will change coming up in August.
According to an article from The Augusta Chronicle, “Dirty Boots” is set to open some time in August. The location is 917 Broad Street in Downtown Augusta. This is the former “Bar On Broad” location. According to the Chronicle’s article, “Dirty Boots” will be a live music venue for country and Southern rock acts every Friday and Saturday night.
“Dirty Boots” will serve free boiled peanuts every night, and offer free line dance lessons every Thursday. The article from Augusta Chronicle says that “Dirty Boots” will have sort of a “Coyote Ugly” feel to it. I’m going to be honest, I’m really excited to check this place out. We’ve been missing a country bar in the CSRA for far too long.
My wife and I were driving down Broad Street two Saturdays ago and passed by this building. I saw the “Dirty Boots” sign on the window and instantly hit up Instagram to find out more about what was going on. There wasn’t much info up there yet, just a tease that the bar was coming soon. I know I speak for a lot of us here in the CSRA when I say that I can’t wait to check this place out.

What are my favorite Augusta bars? Where are my favorite places to grab a cold beverage here in town? I’ve thought about it and come up with this list. Now these are just bars. These aren’t bars and restaurants. Because if we’re talking restaurants too, then this list would be pretty dang long.
I love a good neighborhood bar vibe. A place thats not too big, however I don’t want a place thats super small either. Its important to be able to at least move around in the place. Another thing that helps a place make the list is live music. There are a few of those places on this list.
Atmosphere is really important to me, so these bars will have a really cool atmosphere. I also like a place where I can have a good experience. And I can tell you, I’ve had great experiences at all of these places, hence why they made my favorite bars list.
