Second Arrest Made in 2020 Aiken Murder Case
Aiken Public Safety officials announced today that a second arrest has been made in a nearly three-year-old murder case.
Investigators say 30-year-old Rahem Devoe was charged Tuesday in connection with the November 29, 2020 shooting death of Tyquan Graham. Graham was shot multiple times at the Palmetto Crossing Apartments at 4060 Sandlapper Drive in Aiken. Investigators at the time said they believed it was a retaliatory-style shooting. The Aiken Bloodhound Tracking Team was called to the scene to assist investigators. But no suspects were arrested until late July this year.
Devoe is now in custody at the Aiken County Detention Center charged with Accessory Before the Fact to Murder.
Recently in late July, authorities charged 25-year-old Richard Lee Garvin Jr. of Fairfax, South Carolina with Graham’s Murder and Criminal Conspiracy. The case remains under investigation and Aiken Public Safety says more arrests are expected.
The Aiken Department of Public Safety has been assisted by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, Second Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office, Allendale County Sheriff’s Office, Barnwell Police Department, ATF RAGE Task Force, and the FBI.
“Information from the community is vital to helping with investigations. Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact the Aiken Department of Public Safety,” according to a news release.
