The Columbia County Christmas Light Fight to Return This Holiday Season
Holiday decorators, this is your time to shine! For two years, Columbia County has been putting on the Christmas Light Fight and this year they are back at it again!
Neighbors across the county will battle it out to see who will come out on top with there Christmas lights.
Columbia County Parks, Recreation and Events is currently looking for a minimum of six houses, and a maximum of 10 houses, in the county to go head-to-head with others in the community to showcase the best and brightest Christmas lights display. They must have at least six houses sign up to keep the competition going this year.
Once the first 10 houses reach out to the organization, they will be selected to be a part of the contest.
How Will the Christmas Light Fight Work?
How it will work is that those that enter the contest will set up a time that works for the Columbia County Parks, Recreation and Events Committee to come out. The contestants home will then be recorded.
Once all the videos from the contestants in the county have been recorded, those videos will be posted by December 4th.
The videos will be posted on Facebook, where the community will be able to vote on which house they think is the best.
Voting will take place for two weeks and once those votes are in, there will be three finalists announced.
From there, voting will continue on and then the winner will be announced on Wednesday, December, 20.

My Review:
First of all, the packaging is spot on! It looks like they took a box and used it as the wrapper on the candle. The glass jar and lid felt very sturdy and high quality. Upon the intial sniff test, prior to lighting it, I felt like it smelled like vanilla. And I don’t mind the smell of vanilla, but I was hoping it was closer to smelling more like the cakes! But I decided I needed to light it to get the full effect. And it’s definitely not just straight vanilla!
Even though I’m not usually a fan of sweet scents, I actually really like this. And it’s true… the scent quickly filled my living room, dining room, and kitchen! I feel like it definitely has more of a vanilla cake scent than I originally thought. And the scent fills the large space, but without being overpowering! Definitely happy with this purchase!
Cozy Autumn Cuddle

My Review:
I haven’t lit this one yet. And honestly, I don’t quite know why I chose this one. The website has SO many various scents to choose from… I guess this was just one of the first ones I saw that grabbed my attention. It was my full price item that I got 60% off.
I wasn’t sure if it would have a pumpkin scent or not. I honestly didn’t look at the prominent scents. But upon first sniff, I am a fan! I like sandalwood and cedarwood… so this is a great combo! I will have to light it up to get the full effect, but just in the jar, it smells really good!
Aromatherapy Scents
My Review:
These two scents are part of the Goose Creek Aromatherapy Line. They are smaller, at just 7.5 ounces and only have one wick. Both of them smell really good. I think the Tranquil one will work perfect to help relax at night or in a hot bath. And I feel like the Soothe one will be great when those allergy or cold symptoms roll in with the cooler air this fall.
I haven’t lit either one of these, but based on the scent from the jars, I think I’ll really like them too. And the scents definitely match what the labels have on them!
