Got any plans this weekend? No? Perfect! This weekend Downtown Augusta is the place to be if you are trying to get into the holiday spirit. A day full of Downtown Augusta Christmas events will be happening to help you celebrate the season.
Here is a list of events that will be happening Saturday in Downtown Augusta from sun up to sun down.
Mistletoe Market at Augusta & Co.
10 am – 4 pm
Augusta & Co. will be hosting a pop-up shop that involves bringing together a variety of local businesses for you to find the perfect holiday gift for family, friends, or even yourself. These businesses will offer unique and festive gifts just in time for the holiday season.

8th Street Holiday Market and Block Party
12 pm – 8 pm
8th Street will be filled with local vendors, artisans, and performers to continue to spread some holiday cheer. There will also be food, gifts, and fun!
Augusta Christmas Parade
The parade starts at 1:00 pm.
The route starts at Greene and 10th. This is different from previous years. In years past, the parade started around 9 am on Broad Street. The parade will travel in a U-shaped route. For more information about the parade, click here.
Christmas Tree Light Up at Augusta Common
4 pm – 7 pm
In addition to the tree lighting, ctivities include a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, crafts, and the Mayor’s Christmas Card Contest. Entertainment will be provided by the Richmond County School System’s elementary, middle, and high school students.
Due to forecasted inclement weather last weekend, December 2nd, the festivities for this event were moved to this new date of December 9.
The lighting of the Christmas tree and fireworks show will begin at 6:15 pm.
