So I look forward to Lunch! My Top 5 Lunch Spots In the Augusta, Georgia area are some of the best around.
Usually, I look for a great burger, some southern food, or something quick through the drive-thru.
Here are My Top 5 Lunch Spots In the Augusta, Georgia area, in no particular order.
Wifesaver- I usually go to the North Augusta store, but all Wifesavers in the area are so good. This restaurant has been around since the 60’s and is still going strong. You can eat their famous fried chicken, or if you’re doing low-carb, you can do that, too. I get grilled chicken tenders, green beans, and slaw, and it is delicious. But, if I want to eat southern good, I get their fried chicken with fried okra and sweet tea.
French Market Grill West- on Furys Ferry Road. This place has a Cajun feel to a lot of its food, and it is excellent. I love the Oyster PoBoy; also their Creole File’ Gumbo is outstanding. If you’re really celebrating, have a slice of their peanut butter pie made in-house!
Chick-fil-A – Who doesn’t love this place?! I love a good chicken sandwich and waffle fries, but this place has been a lifesaver when it comes to ordering low-carb. A few good items on their menu for carb-conscious folks like me. Plus, I use the app, and a couple of stores in the area have quick app-only lanes now, and you’re in and out in no time.
Sno Cap- Go back in time to this diner that opened in 1964. At the time, it was part of a chain of restaurants across America, and there was also one in Aiken. Today, the North Augusta location is still standing and busier than ever. I can’t say enough about this place. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is great. Get a hamburger, it comes with its own tiny American flag, and the burger is so good!
Village Deli- Since 1988, The VillageDeli has been serving some of the best sandwiches in Augusta. Located across from Daniel Field, this restaurant is always busy, and I’ve never had a bad meal there. Usually, you’ll run into someone you know, too. Locals love this place!
Enjoy your lunch!
