Kenny Chesney Says Goodbye To A Special Pub
Kenny Chesney posted a video clip to his Instagram singing a song in a special place for him: Quiet Mon Pub in the Caribbean. It’s a place he visited often.
He captioned the video, “Saying goodbye to a chapter of my island life when I say goodbye to the Quiet Mon pub. Some nights I remember, and some nights are hazy. But all nights spent there are branded in my soul and heart forever.”
He continued, “Thanks to the Quiet Mon for welcoming me home after every summer tour, for allowing me to turn the pages of my life in so many ways, and for allowing me to be a part of the wonderful island family that was the Quiet Mon pub. ‘I wanna play my guitar in the Caribbean sun… Hang with the locals at the Quiet Mon… Where you can be a tourist, a beach bum, or a star… And be as you are.’ Goodbye, Quiet Mon. Thank you (prayer hands emoji).”
The Quiet Mon Pub in the Virgin Islands announced that it was closing after 26 years in business. Its last day of operation was December 17, 2023.

In another post on Instagram, Kenny revealed that he was at a recent benefit concert for the people of Maui, Hawaii, who lost everything in the August 2023 fire that destroyed over 2,000 buildings and caused 5.5 billion dollars in damage.
Chesney posted some photos from the event and wrote, “Here’s to new friends and old friends coming together last night making music for the people of Maui. Thank you, @lukasnelsonofficial, @jackjohnson, and @graciepotter, for the invite. It was also great to spend a few moments with my friend @willienelsonofficial at the show. What a special night in Maui. Thank you guys for all the love.”
