Downtown Augusta has so many murals!

Augusta is full of great things to do. Here's How To Spend A Fun Day In Augusta, Georgia. The city and the surrounding area have many walking trails and plenty to do. Downtown Augusta is an excellent place to start, with over 40 restaurants and bars, many with sidewalk dining.

Two of our newer businesses are Dave and Buster's and Top Golf. Both are in the Village at Riverwatch, just off I-20.  You can spend a few hours at Dave and Buster's by driving a racecar, playing hoops, and any other game you can think of, including Axe throwing.  Think arcade on steroids. This place is enormous.

Dave and Busters is a sports bar, restaurant, and arcade all under one huge roof.

Next up, and just down the street, is Top Golf. This is the perfect place to get together with friends and get your bay, which is climate-controlled, and order drinks while you're all getting a little competitive. I went with a couple of coworkers and had a great time. This is a must-stop while in Augusta.

Downtown Augusta is very walkable and features some of the best and most creative restaurants in the area, all with a good vibe. You'll find a little bit of everything in the downtown area.

The pedestrian bridge downtown by the marina is a good place to start your walk. It connects to the Augusta Riverwalk, and you can enjoy river views while exercising. There is always a market or two going on on the weekends.

There are also two historic theatres downtown Augusta that have been renovated and are beautiful and add to the historic feel of downtown. Something is always going on at the Miller Theatre and the Imperial Theater.

Learn more about Augusta's history, including the Godfather of Soul, James Brown, at the Augusta History Museum. You can spend a couple of hours here. Lots of history I had never heard of when I visited.

Also, if you time your visit right and have some luck securing practice round passes or patron's badges, you can check out the world's greatest golf course, Augusta National.

Have fun in Augusta!
