Miranda Lambert: What She’ll Miss In Las Vegas
Miranda Lambert will kick off her last run at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas of her “Velvet Rodeo” stint in a little over a week.
Miranda posted a video clip of herself talking about the run to her Instagram. She said, “I think what I’ll miss about the shows in Vegas is the wardrobe because everybody dresses to the nines, and it’s really fun to see.”
The Outfits
She revealed, “Outfit designs were inspired by Elvis a little bit and by the Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame.” Lambert even touched on her entrance and ride up to the stage, saying, “On the ride up the elevator (to the stage), I’m excited to just start it. You know, it’s like the build-up of waiting all day to kind of go do what you do and clock in. So, the elevator ride is like my entrance into work.”
Her Favorite Part of Each Show
As for what she loves most about the night in Vegas, she said, “My favorite production is ‘Gunpowder and Lead’ because it’s like a whole bunch of fire. It’s just really hot. It’s not scary; it’s kind of controlled, and they’re really good at it. It’s definitely a burst of heart.”

Miranda teased that she has a lot coming up after her stint ends in April. She offered, “Coming up after Vegas, we have some really big plans and some wildcards up our sleeves. So, get ready.”
She captioned the post, “See y’all March 20-April 6 for my final Vegas shows.”
Lambert recently sat on her porch dressed in a poncho and brown cowboy boots, holding a guitar, and sang a song from one of her musical heroes, Merle Haggard. She posted the video clip to Instagram.
She smiled as she sang the lyrics to “My Own Kind Of Hat,” which Haggard released in 1979. Miranda sang, “There’s two kinds of lovers / And two kind of brothers / And two kind of babies to hold / There’s two kind of cherries / And two kind of fairies / And two kind of mothers, I’m told and told.”
