More New Businesses Are Coming To Augusta On Jimmie Dyess Parkway – Not Just Kroger
There is a lot of growth happening on Jimmie Dyess Parkway. A new Kroger is one of the latest additions to that area, but there’s more!
The Kroger is said to be opening in about a month on May 22. Doors will open at 7 am. They will be doing free giveaways as well, because what’s a grand opening without giveaways? The shelves are being stocked as we speak!
More Than Just Kroger
It has been reported that more new businesses in Augusta are coming into that area. Across from Kroger, a small retail strip has been built. It is said to include a Wing Stop, a Nail Shop, a McDonald’s, and two other restaurants that have not been disclosed yet.
Those who live nearby in the surrounding communities, as well as those on Fort Gordon, are excited about the growth coming to the area and not having to travel as far for basic needs like grocery shopping.
A lot of the areas that have been just trees for so long are becoming areas of business. The new Kroger broke ground on January 9. This WAS A $32,000,000 investment. The grocery store will include a pharmacy with an exterior drive-thru and a fuel center.

More New Businesses Headed To Augusta In 2024
- Ziggi’s Coffee – This will be one of the franchise’s first locations in Georgia. They hope to be open sometime during the summer, but have not announced a confirmed date. It will be a drive-thru model located at 252 Furys Ferry Rd., Augusta, GA.
- Parker’s Kitchen –This convenience store will be expanding to the Augusta area this year. There will be four new locations coming to the area.
