New Japanese Restaurant Opens In Aiken
Aiken has a newly opened Japanese restaurant, Okinawa: Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bowl. The restaurant opened in Aiken, South Carolina on April 22. The address to the location is 1695 Richland Ave. East.
This new family business is owned by Oscar Salsas, and the manager is his cousin, Frank Salsas.
Sombreros, a former Mexican restaurant in Aiken, use to be in this location. The restaurant permanently closed last year around September by notifying customers via Facebook and writing on the glass door of the eatery.
Okinawa: Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bowl
Okinawa: Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bowl has an extensive menu with tons to offer. The menu includes Hibachi entrees combos and lunch specials. They serve bento boxes, raw bowls, and cooked bowls. They even have a vegetable bowl.
They even have salmon on the menu as a hibachi option, which is a major plus for me. When I’m getting hibachi, and the place has salmon it makes my day! That has become my go-to in recent years since I found out that Japanese steakhouses offer salmon to go with your rice and vegetables. It used to be Hibachi steak and teriyaki chicken – which is still a top contender in my book.
Some of the appetizers included on the menu are spring rolls, shrimp tempura, aged tofu, fried calamari, edamame, and more.
They also have sushi, soups, and salads.
