George Strait In Charlotte – A Fun Night With Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town Too
George Strait in Charlotte, North Carolina on a beautiful night in June just can’t be beat. I dare you to try and find a night that beats it.
The George Strait in Charlotte show featured opening acts Little Big Town and Chris Stapleton. Chris Stapleton is one talented performer. There is no questioning it. Plain and simple.
George Strait In Charlotte Was A Perfect Night
The weather was perfect and Bank Of America Stadium was the best background possible for this night with George Strait in Charlotte. George took the stage at 9:15 PM and didn’t end till around 11:30. Now, being the biggest George Strait fan there is, I didn’t leave my seat one time for this show.
George Opened the show with an album but called “Stars On The Water” from his “The Road Less Traveled” release in 2001 and of course wrapped up the night with “The Cowboy Rides Away”.
Here are just a few of the songs that George Strait played in Charlotte:
- Here For A Good Time
- The Fireman
- She’ll Leave You With A Smile
- Ocean Front Property
- The Chair
- I Saw God Today
- Give It Away
You have to keep in mind that George Strait has had 60 number one songs, so I’m sure it’s not easy to pick a set list when you’ve had more number 2 or top 5 songs than most artists have had number one songs.
On Friday Night We Met A Brand New Artist
While in town to see George Strait in Charlotte, Friday night we had the pleasure of meeting Bryce Leatherwood who won NBC’s hit TV show, The Voice in 2022. He was on Team Blake and won the whole thing that year. He has signed on with Universal Music Group in Nashville, which is the home of George Strait, Chris Stapleton, Parker McCollum, Darius Rucker and others, so he is in good hands.
Bryce is very much a fan of older country like Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty and Keith Whitley. A Conway Twitty song, “Good-bye Time” was the song he played that had Blake Shelton turn his chair to pick Bryce to be on Team Blake.
While this was one of the first times that Bryce has played in front of radio people, his record company is going to be taking him to country music radio stations all across the country. Chances are you will be hearing Bryce on Kicks 99 before the year is over.
