Upcoming Road closures in Downtown Augusta: 13th Street Closure and Detour
Temporary Detour at SC Welcome Center on I-20 Eastbound
More road closures will be happening in Downtown Augusta starting Saturday, August 5, 2023.
13th Street between Telfair Street and Walker Street near Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School will be closed to through traffic for bridge reconstruction. This will be a long-term closure through the end of 2023. The closure is to repair and enhance the bridge over the Augusta Canal.
A detour will be in place for all traffic around the closure using 12th Street.
There has been some concerns voiced since the school is in the midst of the construction.
