Reward Money Drastically Increased for Four Bibb County Jail Escapees
A total of $73,000 is now being offered for information leading to the capture of four inmates who escaped from the Bibb County Jail early Monday morning.
Bibb County Sheriff David Davis identified the four as Joey Fournier, Marc Kerry Anderson, Chavis Demaryo Stokes and Johnifer Dernard Barnwell. Jail officials say a staff member noticed a break in the fence around 6 am. While watching video footage, the four inmates were seen escaping through a second-floor dayroom window around 3:30 am. A blue Dodge Challenger was also seen in the video, along with one person putting some items into an enclosed area. Davis said it’s believed those items were used to help the four escape.
Davis said, “Right now my focus is getting these individuals back in the jail, and we’ll dissect what happened and fix that as we go forward.” He added there were only 10 people working at the time of the escape, compared to a normal staff of 30 for the jail that regularly houses up to 800 inmates.
