This Is Not A Regular Burger – It’s A Quesadilla Burger
The first time I was introduced to a Quesadilla Burger was at Applebee’s. Once I saw that Augusta Locally Grown would be hosting a cooking class to make Quesadilla Burgers I was all in!
Augusta Locally Grown is a nonprofit organization promoting local, seasonal, sustainably-grown food as integral to the health and economic well-being of the CSRA.
They host many classes and experience events throughout the year for little to no cost or donations for the community to enjoy. They also have an indoor farmers Market that takes place every Thursday.
This class was taught by Janette Metz who says she made this meal for her family of 7 in just under 30 minutes.
How To Make A Quesadilla Burger
In pictures, let’s go through the process of making a quesadilla burger! For starters, it was very quick and simple.
The final step – once you’ve put your toppings and condiments on your patty, slice the tortilla in half and place it on the top. So now you have a tortilla top and a tortilla bottom.
The instructor also made a topping sauce to go with it! I don’t do a lot of sauces so I passed. The sauce was mayo and mustard-based with sweet pickle relish and white vinegar combined.
Mine might not look the best, but it was good! I think I’ve just given you your next dinner idea.
