Mimi and I spent Labor Day weekend in Zebulon, North Carolina. That’s where she grew up and where her parents still live. They live on Bunn Lake. A beautiful backdrop for the long weekend. Mimi and her dad got me on the boat for what I thought was a no pressure booze cruise. Turns out, I was being put to work.
Long story short, Mimi’s dad needed help pulling the boat out of the water and turned the wheel over to me. full disclosure here. I have NEVER EVER driven a boat before. EVER. Think I did a pretty good job all things considered. If you don’t count me hitting the side of the dock and smoking the front of the boat, then I really did well.
Next time, I’ll be ready. Until then, refer to me as Captain Cash.
