Kelly Clarkson’s ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, who was asked to leave Kelly’s Montana Ranch after their messy divorce in 2020, has now purchased a Montana home for himself, which cost close to $1.8 million.

Us Weekly reports that according to a deed transfer, Brandon purchased the home in Butte, Montana, on April 18, a little more than one month after their divorce was finalized.

Blackstock also renamed his cattle ranching business, previously known as Vintage Valley Ranch, to V Bar V Cattle Co. days after the divorce was completed as part of his plans to retire from the entertainment industry and become a full-time rancher.

Clarkson filed for divorce from the Texas native in June 2020 after nearly seven years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.
