Luke Combs felt that his voice wasn’t up to par, so even though he did a whole show in Maine over the weekend, he gave fans their ticket money back. Luke told the audience after revealing they would receive a ticket refund, “We’re going to put on the best free show we could put on.”

Before beginning his show at Maine Savings Amphitheater on Saturday (9/4), Combs told concertgoers, “I have to let you know that I have refunded all of your tickets. As of 7 p.m. today, a few hours ago, I realized that I was not going to be able to sing as good as I normally do. [My voice is not] what I think it should be for you guys having to pay for it.”

He added, “I want you guys to know how upset I am to have to tell you that tonight, but all I want you to know is that we’re going to do the very damn best.”

He ended by promising to give fans “everything that I have. I am so sorry, so sorry.”

One fan shared the stage moment on her Facebook. She wrote in part, “He didn’t feel he could do and perform his best when I tell you I have a WHOLE new love and respect for this man. I mean it. He promised to refund everyone for their tickets for “not being his best he can be and more” but he still was THE best ever and more. Luke, thank you for an unforgettable night.”
