Miranda Lambert and her band and crew, along with her husband Brendan, did their part to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the Route 91 tragedy on Saturday (10/1) as Lambert’s husband ran in the Vegas Strong 5k/1M run.

Miranda posted images of the event along with a video clip of her cheering her husband on while he ran in the event. She reaches her hand out to touch her husband’s while someone can be heard saying, “He’s so focused.” She captioned the post, “Band and crew up early this morning to be part of the Vegas Strong 5k/1M to commemorate the 5th anniversary of Oct 1, Route 91 Harvest Festival. Sending love and light to all the victims, survivors, first responders, our live nation family, and all of those affected.”

Many responded to the post with heart emojis, including Brittany Aldean, who was there and pregnant with her son Memphis when the shooting happened while her husband Jason was on stage on that fateful day in 2017. One fan wrote, “Prayers for all of the families affected and those that were there. May GOD give you peace. Great support, y’all are amazing.” Another fan commented, “Your show was fantastic last night. Thank you for pausing to recognize those who were lost.” One more fan said, “This is so amazing! Thanks for supporting the Vegas community. We love y’all!”

Lambert is in Las Vegas playing out her “Velvet Rodeo” residency at Planet Hollywood’s Zappos Theater. In an Instagram post she posted before the Route 91 post, she shared a video of her twirling around in an Idlywild jacket that lights on fire for her Vegas show. She captioned that video clip where she tested the jacket, “Light em up and watch em burn (fire emoji) @tiffanygiffordstyle & Tom you’re badasses for bringing this to life.”

Tiffany responded, “Thank you for trusting me with this fire-brained idea!!”
