Tim McGraw Gushes Over Wife Faith Hill’s Actress Nomination

Tim McGraw is one proud husband as his wife Faith Hill was nominated for a WIN Award for her acting role as Margaret Dutton in 1883. She was nominated for Outstanding Actress Made For Television Movie / Limited Series. Faith was nominated along with Julia Roberts and Isabel May. May played her daughter in 1883.

Tim posted to Instagram, “Congrats to @1883official and these incredible women for their @thewinawards nominations!! The most talented woman I’ve ever known @faithhill for an outstanding actress, our “daughter” Isabel May for an outstanding actress, and @christinaalexandravoros for Scripted show Director. And #1883 for Outstanding Made for Television Movie/Limited Series.”

McGraw got several responses to his post, including actress Rita Wilson, Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild, and him and Hill’s daughter Audrey who all posted heart emojis.

Fans also responded with one writing, “Faith was great in her role….but Isabel!! The entire cast was phenomenal, really…I was so sad it had to end! Applause all around.” Another fan noted, Congratulations to you all, well deserve absolutely loved 1883 seen it four times.” One more fan asked, “How do one choose between Isabel and Faith? What!?”

According to their website, Women’s Image Network (WIN) produces The Women’s Image Awards to harness the power of the media. They note, “By promoting dimensional female media images (created by both men & women), WIN advances the value of women and girls. Now, more than ever, the world strives for equality, and entertainment consumers crave authentic female voices.”

The site adds, “Our one-of-a-kind awards show exists to appreciate, encourage and applaud creators because to the extent women’s voices remain silent, we all are robbed of their contribution.”

Past winners of WIN Awards include Lauren Bacall, Beverly D’Angelo, Cloris Leachman, Elizabeth Taylor, Joan Rivers, Lily Tomlin, and many more.

The WIN Awards will be handed out in Los Angeles on November 10, 2022.

  This song was co-written by Faith's first husband Daniel Hill. It was released in November 1995 as her second single and title track from Hill’s album of the same name. It was her third number one on the Billboard country charts. The song's chorus includes the lyrics, "When we don't talk / When we don't touch / When it doesn't feel like we're even in love / It matters to me."

  Another song from Faith’s debut album, “Piece Of My Heart,” was a cover of an Erma Franklin's (Aretha’s big sister) 1967 song. Hill is not the only one who covered it as through the years it was also recorded by Dusty Springfield also in 1968, and a duet version by Melissa Etheridge and Joss Stone in 2005. The most famous version, however, is Janis Joplin's from 1968.

  Faith released this song in May 2005 as the lead single from her sixth studio album, 'Fireflies.' It was written specifically for Hill by John Rich (of Big & Rich), and fellow MuzikMafia member Adam Shoenfeld. The song references Faith's forays into acting at the time, in an episode of 'Touched By An Angel' and the 2004 film 'The Stepford Wives.'
