Chick-fil-A Covered Dog’s Last Meal
This story spoke to my heart. As some may know, I had to have my almost 13-year-old black lab put to sleep this past Friday. It was the most heartbreaking thing I’ve ever had to do. And before we took that final ride to the vet’s office, we made a stop at Chick-fil-A. So when I saw this story, I had to share how Chick-fil-A covered this dog’s last meal… and went the extra mile too.
According to TODAY.com, Sarah Massey found out she would have to say goodbye to her dog Mollie. And like me, she decided to go to Chick-fil-A. While I got my lab a Chick-fil-A sandwich, Sarah got Mollie her favorite: Chick-fil-A nuggets.
But she didn’t expect what would happen when she got there. She wanted to give Mollie the best last day and went to get the nuggets because “they’re her favorite and it’s the only thing she’ll actually eat right now.”
After ordering 30 nuggets without sauce, she explained the order, and when she went to pay, they didn’t charge her. Sarah was extremely thankful and tagged them in a video on social media.
But this Chick-fil-A went the extra mile. They reached out to Sarah and told here to keep an eye on her inbox and mailbox.
A few weeks later, Sarah received a special package from Chick-fil-A: a personalized painting of Mollie. How sweet is that?! I would have cried too. The also sent Sarah a t-shirt, socks, a gift card, and a small cow. The gift included a sweet message too.
I can honestly relate so much to Sarah. She talked about how she got Mollie when she was 18, and had her for 12 years- her whole adult life. I got my black lab Cody in 2010, right after I graduated from college. We went through SO much together. I will always love and miss him. Life will never be the same without this handsome, sweet, loving, loyal, bestest boy.
