Check Out Video Of Baby Maddie’s Latest Milestone
Y’all have got to see this video of Baby Maddie’s latest milestone. My wife Kelsey has been waiting patiently on this one for a while now. If you’ll remember back a few months, Kelsey and I had a friendly little competition going on. Would our daughter Maddie say “mama” or “dada” first? Well that question was answered about a week and a half ago.
Maddie said “dada” first! I won! Of course I know that usually babies will say “dada” first because B and D sounds are easier for them to make. I was able to catch it on video, and if you missed it, you can check it out here.
After Maddie said “dada” for the first time thats all she wanted to say. For days and days it was just “dada”, “dada”. As much as Kelsey would try to get Maddie to say “mama”, she just wouldn’t do it. I was trying to get Maddie to say it, heck even the ladies at Maddie’s daycare were trying to get her to say it, but she wasn’t ready. That is, until Tuesday night!
Kelsey had just gotten home from work and we were getting ready to start dinner. Maddie was in her jumper and she started making sounds that sounded like she was about to say “mama”. Thats when this happened. Here’s the video of Baby Maddie’s newest milestone.
As you can see, Kelsey was ecstatic! She’d had a rough day at work, so this just made her day. Heck, it made her whole week! Maddie is saying “mama” and “dada” now and she’s even starting to try to put other words together. She’ll be 9 months old this weekend and is growing up too fast.
