Roadtrip! Buc-ee's Opening Second Location In South Carolina

Buc-ee greats you out front of their stores!

It's the world's largest convenience store, and it's time for us to take a road trip! Buc-ee's in South Carolina will be located just off Interstate 85 in Anderson. It will be great to have another Buc-ee's in South Carolina.

Nothing happens quickly when they build one of these massive stores. Roads must be built to handle the thousands of vehicles that stop in to grab gas and a brisket sandwich and use the cleanest restrooms you'll ever see.

I've stopped in Buc-ee's in Florence, SC, a few times and am always amazed at how busy they are and how friendly everyone is. Did I mention this place is HUGE?! How many convenience stores have you been to that are over 50,000 square feet? Welcome to Buc-ee's.

My first visit was a little bit too crazy for me. Dodging hundreds of people grabbing beef jerky from the Wall of Jerky. Yes, that is what they call it. There is so much jerky that they have a wall dedicated to it. They also have clothes, sandwiches, grills, fire pits, a huge selection of spices and hot sauces, housewares items, and don't forget the Buc-ee's Famous Beaver Nuggets.

There are also over 120 gas pumps to handle the weary travelers searching for their next Buc-ee's stop, which seems more of a roadside attraction than a convenience store.

Remember what I said about how long it takes to open a Buc-ee's? This new Buc-ee's in South Carolina hopes to be open in about two years, yes, two years and will be located at Exit 21, off of I-85 in Anderson. Plan your trip for when it opens. It's one hour and 57 minutes from Augusta.
