A Fresh Take On Grocery Shopping In Augusta Opening This July
A new grocery store is coming to the Washington Road area. Opening this July, it will be a fresh take on grocery shopping in Augusta. It will be next to Bonefish on Washington Road.
Smokehouse And Putting Green
FreshTake is a new concept grocery store that will open in the old Whole Foods location in Washington Crossing on Washington Road. It won’t be your typical trip to a grocery store. This 42,000-square-foot building will feature an in-store cafe and an outdoor patio with a bar-b-que smokehouse outside near the putting green (well, it IS Augusta!).
TVs and Sushi
The store will also have seating for 130, a couple of outdoor balconies, and a seating area above the in-store cafe with free WIFI. Also, a beer and wine bar in the store named Jackson’s. You can watch your favorite games on one of the 13 large-screen TVs, order your favorite from ten tap beers, and get made-to-order sushi. Now, that’s a fresh take on grocery shopping.
The creator of this unique concept is 28-year-old Jackson Mitchell.
The CEO
“We are thrilled to introduce FreshTake to Augusta,” said Jackson Mitchell, CEO. “This store represents the culmination of my career and a deep love for the grocery business. Our goal is to create a space that offers top-quality groceries and becomes a hub for the community, where people can come together to enjoy great food, entertainment, and convenience.”
Grill While You Shop
FreshTake will feature in-store butchers and a great selection of quality meats. Customers can choose their cuts, and in-house chefs will even prepare them for you with their grill-while-you-shop option.
Now That’s A Cold Beer
There is even an “Ice Box,” which is what they call their beer cave. This new store also offers a full-service pharmacy. The estimated opening date is July of this year, and the store will be located in the Washington Crossing shopping center at 2907 Washington Road, next to Bonefish Grill.
