New Pourhouse Coming To Downtown Augusta

This is a great location and the renovations help the look of the downtown area.

New businesses continue to pour into Augusta's downtown area. See what I did there? The newest one under construction is a "pourhouse", which will serve coffee, beer and food items. Not much is known about it yet, but this is from their website.

"This is Emil's.(A-mils not Eh-meels). When he was little, his mom made hooch during the prohibition. His job was putting the caps on the bottle.

He ran an entire army mess hall. He taught us to put strong black coffee in gravy because he was just a baller like that.

We called him Papa. His legacy lives on.

Emil's is a self-pour taproom under construction now at the corner of 9th & Broad."

Downtown Augusta is Growing

They are doing a lot of work on this building, and it looks like it will be another cool place to visit in the downtown area. Most of the pourhouses I've checked out in the southeast offer various beers on tap and many unique food items on the menu.

Emil's will offer coffee, too, from what I understand. They describe it as Good Coffee, Good Beer, and Good Food on their Instagram page. They had me at good beer.

Downtown Augusta continues to welcome new businesses.

When I find out more, I'll let you know.
