4 Best South Carolina Beaches For Memorial Day
We have great choices to celebrate Memorial Day in South Carolina, especially our beaches. Whether you’re looking for nonstop fun or a laid-back visit without the all-night partying. Here are the 4 best South Carolina beaches for Memorial Day.
If you’re looking for some history and just raw beauty, Botany Bay is a great place to visit, and it’s close to Edisto Beach, which has restaurants and a bar or two. Botany Bay is a great place to feel like you’ve gone back in time.
4 Best South Carolina Beaches
The Boneyard beach at Botany Bay is beautiful and isn’t crowded. Take a camera or ensure your phone is charged; a photo op is always available. After your visit here, you can take the short 15-minute drive to Edisto Beach.
Folly Beach has always been my favorite beach. Just outside of Charleston, Folly Beach is a funky, fun little beach town in South Carolina. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in Folly, and you can even see the Morris Island lighthouse while you’re there.
Folly also has a great tiki bar at the Tides Hotel, which is the only oceanfront hotel on the island.
Another Charleston area beach is Isle of Palms, which is a beautiful beach. The downtown area offers many options for food and drink, plus unique shops. Plus, it’s home to a great live music venue, The Windjammer.
We’re all familiar with Myrtle Beach, which always has something going on 24-7, but if you’re looking for a slower pace, head north to North Myrtle Beach. This beach town still has plenty of things to do and a huge selection of restaurants, bars, and beach stores, without the heavy traffic of their neighbor south of them.
Have fun at the beach this Memorial Day weekend, and be safe.
