Tee Gentry - BMGIt's been a long time coming, but North Augusta's finest are about to have a new home. The new North Augusta Public Safety building is ahead of schedule and should be open before its December 2025 deadline, possibly by the Spring of next year.
The building they are now in was built in the 50's. I've been in it as a guest, not the other way. I want to make that clear!
North Augusta Is Growing
The new building will provide space for a new Courtroom, a large lobby with multiple clerk windows to serve the public, a new 911/Dispatch area, a state-of-the-art Emergency Operations Center, and Office space for Patrol, Investigation, and Administration team members. It will also include space for Secure Evidence, Police, and Court Records.
The new building is located on Georgia Avenue, and according to the North Augusta SC site, the 37,000 SF building will sit on almost 5 acres.
The new fire department on Martintown Road opened in 2022 and is about a block away.
