Seriously Yall Merry Christmas
July 25th, 2023, and Seriously Yall Merry Christmas. Today is Christmas in July. 5 months from today will be Christmas Day and that is hard to believe. To all of you that are yelling, I don’t want to hear this, it’s too early, etc., you will be thanking us later. Later as in when December rolls around and your shopping list is complete. I know it’s kind of hard to think it about Christmas now but if it gets here as fast as July did, you’ll be glad you started early.
If you’ve done any shopping anywhere over the past month, you’ve seen it already. Hobby Lobby, Cracker Barrell, Michaels and any craft store already locked and loaded for Christmas. You say it’s too early and it is for us, but do you know why they put the Christmas stuff out so early?
The main reason is for the people who do craft shows and trade shows at the holidays. They have a few months to work on the goods they will sell during the holiday season. The second reason, we have a lot of people who love Christmas and just love to decorate and get a jump on it early. I know people who have 7 or 8 trees in their home and that takes time.
I personally put up 3 trees every year and I like to be decorated by November 1st. On the flip side, It all comes down on December 26th. There are those of us who remember when the Christmas decorations went out the day after Thanksgiving. Man, those were the days.
