Powerball Jackpot Is HUGE – Feeling Lucky?
Apparently, there was no winner for Saturday’s Powerball drawing. The Powerball jackpot on Saturday was at $825 million dollars. But, because there was no winner, we all know that means the jackpot grows. And now, it’s grown to an estimated BILLION dollars. That’s a lot of money.
So if you’re feeling lucky… you might want to grab a ticket or two for tonight’s drawing. The last winner was back on August 3rd. That’s when someone in Pennsylvania won $207 million. Since then, we’ve had 37 drawings and no winners.
This $1 billion drawing makes it the second-largest Powerball jackpot in history! Back in 2016, the $1.59 billion jackpot was won and split between three people. And if you’re thinking, but wait, wasn’t there another big jackpot recently? Yes, there was, but it was the Mega Millions, and the jackpot was $1.3 billion back in July.
When it comes to picking the lucky numbers, do you have a strategy? For some, they’ll use the birthdays of loved ones. While others just pick randomly. But, there are some numbers that seem to currently be pretty lucky. New York has a “Take 5” lottery with drawings twice a day. Last week, the same set of numbers hit for BOTH drawings! Now… it is only FIVE numbers, and since the Powerball has six… you’ll need to come up with that one on your own!
