Theo Wargo/Getty ImagesToday is Jason Aldean's birthday. He's turning 47 today. So of course, I had to feature him on Dub's playlist this week. And the song that I'm going to feature is my all time favorite Jason Aldean song. I've always been a big fan of Jason. He's been putting out hits since 2005, and his music has stayed consistent all these years.
Things You Didn't Know About Jason
With is being his birthday, I figured I'd share some fun facts about him.
- His real name is Jason Williams. Aldine is his middle name, so they just played with the spelling to get his "stage name"
- Jason is from Macon, Georgia and went to Windsor Academy which is located in Bibb County.
- Before he became a famous country star, Jason actually worked as a delivery driver for Pepsi.
- He moved to Nashville in 1998, but didn't release his first major label album until 2005. So things definitely didn't happen overnight for him.
- Since his first album came out in 2005, he's released 10 more, bringing his total to 11 albums so far in his career.
- Jason is married to his wife Brittany. They got married in 2015.
- Jason has four children. Three girls and a boy.
- He also has three restaurants. Two "Jason Aldean Kitchen + Rooftop Bars", one in Nashville and one in Gatlinburg and he and Luke Bryan co-own E3 Chophouse in Nashville.

My Memories With Jason Aldean
Today is Jason Aldean's birthday, so I thought it would be a great time to share some of my memories with Jason Aldean. I've been fortunate enough to have been able to spend some time with Jason Aldean over the years. The first time was back in 2006 at the Kicks99 Guitar Pull. I'll never forget standing out back of the Bell Auditorium talking about Georgia football with Jason.
Over the years Jason has played here in Kicks Country a bunch. He headlined A Day In The Country back in the day. Jason also headlined two tours at The James Brown Arena. One of those tours was with Luke Bryan. Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan together on the same show on a Saturday night at the James Brown Arena, I'll never forget that show!
I was also lucky enough to have seen Jason headline the first ever concert at Sanford Stadium in Athens GA. That was a crazy fun time! A few years ago, I was in Las Vegas doing interviews for the ACMs and got to talk to Jason there as well. We talked about how he got Thomas Rhett hammered for his birthday the night before.
He's always been a super good guy to us, and he puts on a killer show! If you ever get the chance to see Jason live, don't pass it up.

Backstage In Columbia

Jason did a show in Columbia back in 2014. I had the chance to hang with him for a bit before that show.
Hangin' At The ACMs

I got to interview Jason before the 2016 ACMs. He won Entertainer Of The Year the next night.
