Cody's 2024 Graduation Celebration

This morning we had Cody's 2024 graduation celebration! I've got to be honest, it was really quite a spectacle. There were refreshments and special guests. Yearbooks were signed, and we even had well wishes from country stars Dillon Carmichael and Chris Janson. This is also the first time we've ever held a live graduation on the show.

Cody Is Just Now Graduating?

Well not quite. She did graduate high school years ago, right on time, when she was supposed to. However, Cody was home schooled in high school, and didn't really get the full graduation experience. We talked about this on the show last week, and I knew that something had to be done. So the planning for Cody's 2024 graduation celebration began!

Now I'll be honest, some of the things that I'd planned didn't go quite the way I wanted them to. But we did the best we could in a short amount of time. I got Cody a cap and gown to wear. The traditional graduation song Pomp and Circumstance was played. That's about where it stopped being a normal graduation celebration.

Cody's yearbook didn't quite turn out right. Someone, I'm still not sure who, it definitely wasn't me, ate several of her graduation donuts. The commencement speakers ran short on time, well actually I had to wrap their speeches a little early to keep the show rolling. Again, it was the best we could do in such a short amount of time. And really, its the thought that counts right?

If you're looking to have your own 2024 graduation celebration, here are some ideas for you.
