Science Says Dogs Go Through A Moody Teen Phase During Puberty
Has it ever seemed like your dog gets extra sassy with age? That’s not just your imagination!
A group of researchers at Newcastle University’s School of Natural and Environmental Sciences has discovered that it’s not uncommon for dogs to be extra defiant and disobedient when they reach adolescence, around eight months old.
The study says that factors like stress and separation from caregivers can affect how much or how little your pooch will misbehave. Lucy Asher, a researcher in the study, says it’s important to remember that just like with human teenagers, this is just a phase and it’ll pass.
