‘The Hill’ On Netflix – Dub’s Review
Yesterday, I watched The Hill on Netflix. I’d been wanting to check out this movie for a while. It was filmed right here in the CSRA a couple of years ago and it came out late last year. It was in theaters for a while, but I never got the chance to go see it. So when I heard it was streaming on Netflix, I had to check it out.
The CSRA Goes Hollywood
It was so cool seeing so many local places featured in the movie. The movie is supposed to take place in Texas, and honestly, they did a pretty good job making Augusta look like Texas. There are a bunch of local places you’ll see featured in the movie like Lake Olmstead Stadium. You’ll also see the Georgia Carolina State Fairgrounds downtown. Hildebrandt’s also makes an appearance in the movie. There are a lot of locations I think you’ll recognize if you watch this movie.
How Was It?
I really liked the movie. Will it win any major awards? No. Was it a good movie? In my opinion, yes. I don’t want to give too much away, but I thought the acting was pretty good. Dennis Quaid is the main star of the movie, and he does a great job. Another person who surprised me with how good his acting was is Randy Houser. Randy did a really good job!
One of the things that the movie didn’t shy away from is talking about God. Sometimes Hollywood isn’t too keen on talking about God, but they did a good job in this movie. This movie is definitely one that you can watch with the family. There really isn’t anything that is too “adult-oriented” in it. If you haven’t seen it yet, definitely check it out. It is Dub approved. If you haven’t seen the trailer, here it is.
