Munchies Lab Is Back With A New Name And A New Menu
The Munchies Lab is back, now known as Munchies Snacks. If you have been keeping up with Munchies they have had quite a journey with getting here!
Munchies Lab first opened on Walton Way and ended up closing in September of 2023. When the business closed, owners had hoped that it wouldn’t be a final goodbye, just a see you later, and that’s just what happened!
Three months after closing the Walton Way location, they announced on social media that they would have a new location coming soon in Columbia County.
Munchies Snack’s just opened its doors to the public on March 26, located in the West own Shopping Center. They held a grand opening from 1 pm until 9 pm.
The day before, on March 25, they invited local influencers and CSRA experience pages to give the shop a try.
Customers have already described the new location as having a fun and unique atmosphere with delicious food.
If you’re not too familiar with Munchies Snacks the menu is very different from your everyday snack bar.
Here are some of the items they had on their previous menu:
- Fried Pickle Roll – Dill Pickle, Cream cheese, Bacon, Tempura fried and covered with Chet dust
- The Munchies Dog – Brioche Hot dog topped with French fries, melted cheese, chili, sour cream, diced onions, and sprinkled hot Cheetos dust.
- And interestingly shaped waffles – if you know, you know.
This location has been said to have a whole new menu and concept. No grilled items as of yet. So if your looking for the Dracula Fries, they are currently not included on the new menu.
The owner of Munchies Snacks are owned by, Patty and Ramiro Galvan, who also owns Taqueria El Rey. The cool thing about this new location for Munchies is that it’s just a few doors down from Taqueria El Rey. So if you miss the Birria Pizza that munchies use to also have on their menu, no worries it is just a few doors down.

As the saying goes, “Betcha Can’t Eat Just One” It’s true. Potato Chips are the best snack on earth. There are tons of flavors. Some come and so, some stay around. But What about the ones that don’t exist yet? What About The Top 10 Potato Chip Flavors We Wished Existed?
On the Lays Facebook page, they put up from time to time fake flavors that you might like. That got me thinking – I decided to rank the fake ones by the ones that I couldn’t live without if they were real! We’ll get to that list in just a few.
Let’s Talk About Chips In General
- Barbeque chips were the first type of flavored potato chip.
- Americans eat about 1.85 billion pounds of potato chips, or about 6.6 pounds per person annually.
- Potato chips are the number one culprit for weight gain because they are high in fat and highly addictive.
- In the last 50 years, there have been over 100 different varieties of Doritos.
- Lay’s was the first successfully marketed national brand of potato chip
- In Britain, potato chips are called “crisps.” They say “chips” when they mean “fries.”

So when Lays posted the flavors that you would like to have to have they hit some home runs. When you see the list, you’ll see a lot you will like and some you will call me crazy for even showing them. Here are some that didn’t make the list but I’d try them:
- Meatloaf
- Sweet Corn

Fake Flavors That Lays Made But Didn’t Sound Good At All
- Margarita
