This weekend I tried something new - I went to the Augusta Craft Beer Festival. This is the 7th year that this event has been put on. It was held at the SRP Park - home of the GreenJackets.
As a first-time goer, I didn't have any expectations going in. I'm also not a huge beer drinker but I love festival vibes! So really I was looking forward to just being out amongst the community, enjoying the fresh air, and spotting out the ciders!
Cider is an alcoholic beverage made from the fermented juice of apples. So basically spiked apple juice.
There were over 30+ hand-selected local, regional, and national breweries.
The weather was perfect, the crowd was nice, and there were tons of vendors to sample from.
The first vendor I tried was the Lo-Fi Brewing Company. They are located in Charleston, South Carolina.
This Is How The Augusta Craft Beer Festival Went

We were ready to get to sampling! Each guest that comes in gets a clear sample cup with the Augusta Craft Beer Festival logo.

This here is the Samuel Adams Porch Rocker. The notes of the beer are sweet, tangy, and refreshing. The drink was inspired by German cyclists who mixed beer with lemonade to quench their thirst on hot summer days. Their take on this style starts with a golden Helles lager, then adds a unique blend of lemons to capture that fresh-squeezed lemon zest.

These are all the Samuel Adams that were available to test. They even had a non-alcoholic Samuel Adams beverage! Pictured are the Porch Rocker, Pool Party, Cherry Wheat, and Summer Ale.

Here is one of the ciders that were in attendance, Bold Rock! Their flavors were really good and sweet.<br>

There was more than just beer! They also had outdoor games set up for everyone to play.

It seemed like a great turnout at the event. Everyone seemed to be having a good time with their beer in one hand and their pretzels in the other.
Overall, I enjoyed the event.
