Gourmet Waffle Bar, Cafe on 8th, located in Downtown Augusta has expanded. Owner Dallas Hooks opened this eatery a little over a year ago, April 26, 2023.

The waffle bar is located at 226 Eight St.

They posted to social media "If you haven't been here in a while, you should come see our new and improved space."

They have doubled their seating area to accommodate more customers and make sure that everyone can enjoy their meals. Additionally, they have an event space next door that can accommodate up to 65 people, making it a nice venue option for your next gathering or celebration.

More About Cafe on 8th

This breakfast and brunch spot is known for its unique waffles. & We're not talking about your typical chicken and waffles! These are some of Cafe on 8th's deluxe waffles.

Backyard Barbeque

This is a stuffed hush puppy waffle with pulled pork.

The Down Home

This waffle is stuffed with chicken, bacon, and collards.

The Omelet

This waffle has Turkey sausage, egg, cheese, and omelet.

There are some people out in the world who have a big appetite and eat a full waffle and omelet for breakfast, but others like me can only choose one because that is a lot of food! But now with The Omlete Waffle, you don't have to choose - you get 2 in 1.

They also have your classic everyday waffles like a plain waffle, a strawberry waffle, and a banana nut waffle.

With the expansion, they have a new evening menu for Thursdays. One of the new waffles that will be included on that menu is a waffle with Cream Cheese and Lobster-Stuffed Pastry, Topped with Egg, Butter-Poached Claws, and Hollandaise Sauce.

I knew there were a lot of things you could do with a waffle, but this takes it to a new level!

Now so far it's been about good breakfast and healthy breakfast.  Now what about the days you just want to throw down and enjoy a good olé breakfast.  We have lots of options for that also.  Like, sitting down at Cracker Barrell and get a Grandma's Sampler Breakfast.

Just what is Grandma's Sampler Breakfast you ask.  It's two buttermilk pancakes with butter served with two eggs  and a sampling of Thick-Sliced Bacon, Smoked Sausage and Sugar Cured or Country Ham. Served with choice of Breakfast Side and 100% Pure Natural Syrup.  Oh and biscuits.  Remember, we aren't counting calories of fat on this meal

What about a trip to a Hardee's Drive through for breakfast on the go?  How about a Country Fried Steak Biscuit with mustard some has browns and coffee.  Lets not forget the best sausage biscuit in the universe at Hardee's

Ok, while we are talking fast good breakfast.  Lets talk Chick-Fil-A.  The biscuit by it self maybe the best biscuit around.  It's a good old fashioned butter milk biscuit with a sweet honey butter on top.  Keep in mind we've not put anything in the biscuit yet.   LOL   My go to is the Chicken Mini's, hash browns and Orange Juice

We have so many great options to have breakfast at breakfast time or at dinner time in our area.  I didn't leave off Waffle House off this list on purpose, It's stand to reason that when you want breakfast, Waffle House will be there when you are ready!
