Mountain Dew “Fruit Quake” – Dub And Jess Do A Taste Test

Today Dub and Jess tried Mountain Dew “Fruit Quake”. It’s the newest flavor of Mountain Dew, if you want to read more about the background of the new flavor click here. Now, Jess and I pride ourselves on trying new things first. We take the responsibility of trying things for Kicks Country. We want to let y’all know what’s good and what’s not. If it’s gross, we want to save y’all the hassle of trying it. Thankfully, we haven’t tried too many things that are gross.

My buddy Aaron hooked us up with the Mountain Dew “Fruit Quake” so that we could try it. Want to check out a full list of all of Mountain Dew’s flavors, click here.

This is definitely a holiday-flavored drink. Check out what we thought about it.

Grab These Fall Treats Before They’re Gone

You’ll definitely want to grab these fall treats before they’re gone!  They won’t be around much longer! Here are a few limited edition fall and Halloween treats my daughter Lexie and I enjoy:

  • Starbucks- Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato

    This tastes like a delicious caramel apple. I substitute with coconut milk.

     

  • Little Debbie Pumpkin Delights

    A delicious little pumpkin treat.

    Look at this smile! Makes me happy.

    Also….there’s ice cream! You can grab this at Walmart before it’s gone!

  • Marketside Gourmet Halloween Bark

    This Halloween bark was sooo good. It somehow made candy corn taste delicious. You can get this at Walmart.

  • Krispy Kreme Haunted House Collection donuts

    Here’s what they’re supposed to look like:

    ‘Boo Batter’ and ‘Scaredy Cat’ were the only ones available at the time I went to order these. I wasn’t impressed with either one and neither was my daughter who loves all things sweet, so that’s saying something. Cute to look at, Krispy Kreme donuts are always good, but the filling inside each donut was underwhelming.

  • Dunkin’ Peanut Butter Cup Machiatto

    I just love the look of this drink. It definitely tastes like a peanut butter cup, but a little to sweet for me. But, definitely worth trying!

  • Dunkin’ Halloween Donuts

    All of Dunkin’s ‘filled’ donuts are pumpkin shaped right so you just choose your flavor and you get this:

Bryan “Dub” Axelson is the host of the Kicks Wake Up Krew on KICKS 99 and has been with Beasley Media Group in Augusta for over 20 years. He got his start in radio by being a regular caller on the Kicks 99 morning show. He was soon hired and has worked in various roles in Augusta, including Promotions Director. He was raised in Georgia, and currently lives in Grovetown with his wife Kelsey, their daughter Maddie, and their 3 dogs. Dub enjoys watching sports, playing golf, spending time with his family, and discovering new music.
