Do You Have What It Takes To Be In The 2024 DadBod Calendar?
Back Paddle Brewing in Lincolnton, GA is taking submissions for this year’s DadBod Calendar. Back Paddle Brewing is a small-batch, craft beer, and farm-to-table eatery.
It’s not only the perfect excuse for men to show off their “dad bods” but it’s for a good cause. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, so they are donating all proceeds from this year’s calendar to nonprofits supporting Suicide Awareness and Men’s Mental Health.
The 2024 Dad Bod Calendar submissions entries are now open and are due by July 5 – but there’s a theme! The theme for this year’s Dad Bod Calendar is mullets and/or mustaches. So yes your picture must also include this!
The ladies of Back Paddle Brewing will go through the picture submissions to choose 12 gentlemen who get to represent in the Dad Bod Calendar.
Last year the Dad Bod Calendar seemed to be a success as the proceeds went into the Beer For Good fund, which helped fund and give various charities a donation. This year as stated will go directly to suicide awareness and men’s mental health awareness.
To submit your picture rocking a mullet or mustache along with your read bod, the email is: [email protected]
What is Mental Health Awareness Month?
Mental Health Awareness Month was originally established by the Mental Health America organization and is recognized during the month of May. It was created as a way to educate the public about mental illness, raise awareness surrounding research and treatments, reduce the stigma associated with mental illness, and celebrate recovery from mental illness.
Suicide Prevention Awareness
September Marks National Suicide Prevention Month but that doesn’t mean we can’t bring awareness to this cause every month.
I’m A Woman So I Can’t Submit For The Calendar, How Can I Still Help?
One of the biggest things with Mental Health is individuals not feeling comfortable enough to talk about it. Create safe and supportive environments for open conversations about mental health. Seek help if they are struggling with their mental health and encourage others to do the same.
Educate yourself and others about suicide prevention: Learn the warning signs and risk factors for suicide, how to support someone considering suicide, and familiarize yourself with the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
