Walmart Accidentally Releases Morgan Wallen’s Album A Week Early
It’s probably safe to say that Walmart is no longer on Morgan Wallen’s good side. The big box retailer released Wallen’s new double album, Dangerous, one week ahead of its scheduled release date this Friday (1/8).
Fans at Walmart stores across the country noticed the CD on racks, and took to Twitter to express their confusion. “How is this even possible?! It isn’t even out yet,” Tweeted one fan.
Another user replied that the purchase of the CD was flagged as a ‘restricted purchase’ and had to be authorized by a manager.
How is this possible? It isn't even out yet 😫

Saw @MorganWallen new album at Walmart today. Think they screwed up the date but I don’t have a CD player anymore. Damn I was tempted to buy one with the album 😂🤦🏻♂️

Accidental or not, when news of the leak reached Morgan, he was NOT happy. “I’ll be damned if I let Walmart do the leaking,” Morgan said in an Instagram video. “I’ve been working on this album for three years.”

Wallen went on to say that he would leak new music himself in the future, and went on to share several new songs on TikTok.

Morgan threw one last jab at Walmart by tagging Target in his Instagram post, adding that copies of Dangerous purchased at Target will feature exclusive bonus tracks. “If you’re going to buy my album, go to Target, baby!”
