Fans Speculate Florida Georgia Line Split Over Political Differences
It’s been a drama-filled 24 hours for Florida Georgia Line fans. It all started when observant fans noticed yesterday (11/10) that Tyler Hubbard no longer followed bandmate Brian Kelley, or Brian’s wife, Brittney on Instagram. To fan the flames, Tyler’s wife, Hayley, also unfollowed both of the Kelleys.
Although it’s hard to tell exactly what initiated the apparent social media feud, fans are speculating that politics may have been the root issue. The Hubbards follow former Vice President Joe Biden on Instagram. Tyler has also been vocal about his disapproval of President Donald Trump, calling the state of the country a “sad, scary” place after a series of tweets from the President in 2018.
The Kelleys, on the other hand, appear to be supportive of President Trump. Brian Kelley confirmed his stance in the comments of this recent Instagram post. After one user suggested that Kelley had cast a vote for Biden, Kelley replied with, “Think again bub.”
That was when fans noticed the unfollowing.
I don't mean to speculate but I am human... Tyler Hubbard and his wife just unfollowed Brian Kelly and his wife on instagram 😦

Whoa so Tyler Hubbard from Florida Georgia Line got COVID but also no longer follows Brian, the other half of FGL seemingly because Brian is a Trump supporter. Shit is getting real

Brian Kelley also suggested that it was time for artists to return to touring, after news outlets showed post-election street celebrations with no social distancing.
Around the time of that post, Tyler Hubbard announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19.
Niether party addressed the Instagram unfollowing or rumors of a falling out. After US Weekly picked up on the story, a source close to the duo said that all is well between the two. “Tyler and Brian’s friendship is as strong as ever,” the source said. Tyler then re-followed Brian & Brittney on Instagram; his wife, Hayley, has not as of now.
Brittney Kelley has also shared a series of Instagram stories alluding to not letting politics end a friendship.
