Carly Pearce recently appeared on The Ellen Show to perform her new single, “Next Girl.” Although it was Carly’s first appearance as a solo artist, it wasn’t her first time on the show at all.
Seven years before, needing to earn some extra money, Carly took a temporary job as a backup singer for actress/singer Lucy Hale. One of the stops on her stint with Hale: The Ellen Show.
Lucy became a mentor to Carly, and encouraged her to pursue a solo career. So, Carly released an independent single, “Every Little Thing.”
The song gained attention from a major label, and the rest, as they say, is history.
