This Georgia Boy Is Celebrating Big Time Today
Today one of our favorite Georgia boys is having a birthday. Today is Cole Swindell’s 39th Birthday. Cole has become a friend to all of us at Kicks 99, he’s played Guitar Pull a couple of times, many sold-out shows, including the one earlier this year at The Bell. Most people don’t know, that Cole met Luke Bryan in college and they became friends over music and Cole at one point was selling T-Shirts for Luke Bryan on Tour.
Cole took his shot and went for it and in 2012 got his own recording contract with Warner Brothers Music. We met Cole in 2013 for the first time when he came by as a brand new, unknown artist and he blew us away! He went on to have 7 number one songs in a row! Just unheard of.
As we get ready today for the Independence Day Celebration on Fort Gordon, Today takes me back to 2016 when Cole played on Fort Gordon on his birthday and of course, we showed up with a cake to celebrate Cole. Little did we know that everyone that saw him brought him a cake including his mother and a few other family members who made the drive up.
